Registration Now Open!

Welcome and Welcome Back!

We are about to start another fun and exciting season of LTRC Youth Basketball. There is a lot of information on this page. Once you register, please come back and take the time to read it carefully.

The online registration through Stone-Alley is now open. Regular registration will be open until September 30, 2023. Please note that once individual leagues are full, they will close. All registrations are received on a first-come, first-served basis. Our online registration is handled by StoneAlley, so click on the banner below or visit https://www.stonealley.com/program/LTRC/group/Basketball

New players to the program will not be officially registered until proof of age is received. Players previously registered with LTRC Basketball will not need to provide proof of age because proof of age is already on file. Proof of age may be e-mailed to registrarltrcbasketball@gmail.com or snail-mailed to:

League Information:

Practices for most leagues begin in mid-November.
Games start Saturday, December 3rd, 2023, and run through
Championship weekend: Saturday, March 1st, and Sunday, March 2nd.

Volunteers Needed:

Our program thrives on the dedication and enthusiasm of volunteers, particularly head coaches. The success of individual leagues hinges on the availability of sufficient coaches. Without enough head coaches, we risk having to cancel a league. We urge you to consider volunteering as a head coach for your child’s in-house and/or travel league.

In addition to head coaches, we are also seeking league commissioners. As a commissioner, you will be tasked with the administration of the leagues. This includes assisting with evaluations, participating in draft night, and scheduling games. Prior to the season, you can expect a weekly commitment of approximately 4-6 hours. Once the games commence, this reduces to about 1-2 hours per week.

If you have any questions or wish to learn more about becoming a coach or commissioner, please reach out to Andrea Weir at andreahw@yahoo.com

Sponsorship Information: If you can identify any business that could sponsor the program, please complete that information. Sponsorships are $250 and the business will be advertised on the website.

Reporting Dates for Evaluations / Travel Tryouts:

Reporting dates for in-house evaluations and travel tryouts are listed below. All players are expected to attend the in-house evaluations. Those trying out for travel teams must attend at least ONE tryout on the dates listed to be considered for a team. Please confirm the dates on our website. Dates may change due to changing gym availability. No other notification will be provided. All travel team players (boys & girls) must be registered and play regularly in the LTRC in-house program.

In-house Evaluation Dates

We recommend all boys interested in playing register and come to the evaluations on October 22nd.

This will ensure a spot in the program if they do not make their high school teams. Refunds will be given to those who make their high school team. High school varsity players are ineligible to play in LTRC Basketball.

This program is designed for players with advanced skills and a high level of interest. All players trying out for travel teams must be registered to play in-house. Players assigned to a travel team must maintain good standing with their in-house team throughout the season. However, 8th graders who make both their LTRC travel team and their school team may choose to opt out of the in-house league requirement prior to the in-house team selection.

Travel teams are formed based on the grade level of the players, in accordance with AAU basketball’s grade-based eligibility requirements. These teams participate in a travel team league and one or more tournaments. Travel teams practice one night per week (Monday-Friday) which does not conflict with in-house practice.

Please note that an additional fee is required for travel team players at the time of registration. This fee will be refunded to players who do not make a travel team or decline a roster spot. If a new uniform is needed, an additional uniform fee will be collected at the first practice.

Players are required to attend at least one tryout, but we strongly encourage attending all tryouts available for their grade.

The REVISED tryout schedule is as follows:
